Coming up with a picture story is always a difficult assignment. Doing so in just three hours during the pregame of the post season of a Major League Baseball game is the ultimate challenge. In my recent work with mlb.com I had the task to create pregame photo galleries that encompassed the feel of the park; what it’s like to be at a game, including each teams’ batting practice, and fans enjoying the festivities outside, entering, and inside the park. In that time, I had to edit, crop, tone and caption each photo and transmit them to mlb.com 30 minutes before the start of the game.

I have not missed a week in 5 years, and the work has always been from something within the calendar week. The photos often involve a zoo visit or a trip to a farm, and it’s an interesting look back at 5 years of weekly photography.
